For long I’m yearning to write some posts in Bengali, my mother tongue. It’s so difficult you see. Terms like transliteration, Unicode and what not are clouding my head with no clear sense of what can actually make me realize my dream.
Short of that, here is what I find Blogger is now allowing, which is to transliterate English words into Hindi. As you can see there’re mistakes, for example Hindi is हिन (oh dear, Hindi for me was never ‘honey’ in school, and I had to toil real hard to learn whatever little I could!).
If any of my viewers out there can throw some light on how the spellings can be made right, I’ll be grateful.
I guess other popular blogging platforms like WordPress or TypePad may also be permitting Hindi shortly, if not already doing.

the ee ki matra is inverted in Firefox, view in IE for correct rendering.

The trouble is in transliteration you’ve very little control on the output. For example, I typed Hindi, and what it returned is हिन.
