Kolkata speaks through lens

November 8, 2006 By Partha Bhattacharya Leave a Comment

Stumbling on a treasure is always so much pleasure. Claude Renault’s website, titled West Bengal: पश्चिम बंगाल, is an excellent visual treat.

Claude, as I collect from his website, is a freelance French photographer. He is also an avid traveler and a keen observer of events that routinely escape our eyes.

Talking about India in another site of his, here’s what Claude has to say:

If I do like to travel, it’s not for a nice landscape or a historical monument, but for what makes a country : the people. I have travelled to many great places, but India is still the best. It just has a buzz that other places don’t. Enjoy….

I cannot resist picking up a couple of photos from his site, and I’m sure my readers will immediately feel inclined to see more of them at his site.
