Scores of emails come every day to my inbox from dotcom practitioners in the US. They are mostly from online teachers, digital marketers, coders, web designers, and the likes.
It’s intriguing that most of them claim they earn in millions each year, and some say they earn in tens of millions.
To be fair to them that could be true, given that many of them run their own enterprises, and cater to customers all over the globe.
For the average person depending on monthly paychecks, it may be difficult to acquire the right skills to cash in with global audience.
So, what’s the story of salaried people in America? Do they also earn in millions like the dotcom entrepreneurs?
As it turns out, they don’t.
To know more on that let us turn to US Department of Labor’s May 2015 National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates that researched more than 1 million businesses to gather this awesome information.
You’ll quickly notice that unlike India, medical professionals in the US earn fatter paychecks than those donning suits and ties, and they readily outclass engineers, coders and web professionals.
Headed by Anesthesiologists, 9 out of top 10 professions are in the medical field, only exception being Orthodontists at fifth position. However, many consider orthodontics too among medical profession.
Here then, let’s look at the top 25 wage earners in the US starting with Podiatrists at 25th position.
