As 2012 draws to a close I promise to myself that I must wake up from deep slumber since the days of Trinamool’s euphoric victory 19 months back when I wrote last in this blog.
Many events have been happening in the interim, and it is long overdue that KolMus – as I affectionately call our dear KolkataMusing – a 944-posts strong blog dating back to June of 2006, gets back to life without delay.
We, the Internet folks, can’t live without Google. We love and hate it, and we’d certainly have it behave the way we, the individuals of us, want. Many of us plead with the search giant for making it easy for ranking well in the search results, but the fact is Google has grown to be much more than the aggregates of our collective wishes and imaginations.
It was in October of 2006 that Google consumed YouTube, and since then it has become a giant hungry beast with fingers on every pie where people congregate.
The following video encapsulates all of what Google is now and will be in the days to come. And though it was made in the spring of 2010, it makes as much sense today as when it was made.
A happy and prosperous new year to you all!
