Park Street Flyover

July 16, 2007 By Partha Bhattacharya Leave a Comment

After the flyover is built at Park Street – Chowringhee Road crossing, it’s now a smoother ride at the busy intersection. The traffic snarl has now shifted to Esplanade, specially at the stretch between SN Banerjee Road and Lenin Sarani crossings.

The place assumes an ominous hue whenever any political program is arranged opposite Metro cinema, throwing out of gear all traffic movement.

Which is why there is now talk of another flyover there that will start just after Park Street flyover to its south, and end with perhaps 2 arms, one descending on Central Avenue and the other at Lenin Sarani.

2 pictures are here of Park Street flyover taken from either end.
